- Changing College Preferences after starting the online application:
If you have started making the online application and you wish to change your college preference, you must contact the college you have nominated as your first preference and ask them to change the college preference for you.
- My status shows 'INCOMPLETE' after I have submitted my online application:
This is normal. Once all your application requirements are complete (ie documents recieved and processed by the College and interview conducted), the Registrar will change your status to 'COMPLETE' and a Letter of Acknowledgement will be mailed.
- When will I find out if my application is successful:
Offers will not be made until mid-January after the QTAC offers are released. All applicants will be contacted if successful or not (via phone or email).
- I wish to study at QUT and stay at St Leo's:
UQ applicants are given preference, thereafter, other university offers will be considered on merit and subject to vacancy.
- Can I defer my residential offer:
Yes, you can defer your residential offer, this decision can be made during the enrolment period when offers are being made. Your application will be placed in the following year's application pool.
- What if I am not successful in my application at St Leo's College:
It is suggested you visit Accommodation Services at UQ for residential assistance. There are a small number of vacancies in Semester 2 of each year, you are welcome to place your name on the Semester 2 waiting list. Processing will normally start mid-late May. If you are studying at UQ in semester 1, we ask that when the results do come to hand to forward them to St Leo's College as part of your application.
You are also welcome to transfer your application to another college. You should first check to ensure that College is still taking applications before transferring.
- Application Fees
Application fee to a College is only charged once, if you transfer your application, you should not be charged again.
- Does St Leo's accept 1 semester applications:
International students on study abroad programs are accepted for 1 semester. It is preferred that all other residents stay for the entire year. Penalties do apply for early withdrawal during semester.
