Whether a Queensland local, studying from abroad or interstate, St Leo’s has a range of activities that allows Residents to meet and become a valued part of the University, and wider community. As a St Leo’s Resident, you’ll receive ongoing support and access to the tools to help you achieve academic success.
St Leo’s accepts students from nearby campuses of Queensland University of Technology, Griffith University or Central Queensland University when there is availability.
You’ll enjoy thoughtfully designed study environments where you can work soundly and efficiently, including four air-conditioned tutorial rooms, the Centenary Room and Reading Room. All single standard bedrooms are air-conditioned and have access to state of the art Wi-Fi as well as shared amenities such as laser printers and photocopiers for a seamless academic experience.
Ensuring you have a healthy balance of study and downtime, St Leo’s Student Club provides College-wide events throughout the year. Residents can benefit from a fun and safe way to access activities including ‘exchanges’ with other colleges plus social nights at top Brisbane venues.
The Inter-College Council means anyone who wants to get involved with competitive sport or cultural activities such as debating, Bandfest, Choralfest, One Act Play, Dance Fest and many more, can do so. The competition runs through both semesters.
Our annual Academic Dinners celebrate the achievements of our very best Residents; whilst scholarships and awards make opportunities at St Leo’s endless.
Living on campus is not only convenient, it is also a very safe option. You will always have fellow Residents from this College and others to work with and travel to and from classes with. And you can’t get any closer than actually on campus!
