Sporting Life

thecup.jpg

The College has a proud and successful tradition covering a wide range of sports.  College teams participate in rugby, soccer, cricket, tennis, squash, hockey, basketball and rowing - to name but a few - while St Leo's tennis/basketball court is the scene of in-house and inter-college competition and casual challenges.

A gymnasium is available for residents and the College's on-campus location provides easy access to all of the University's sporting facilities.

Residents are encouraged to participate in the sport of their choice so as to become more fully involved in the College community.

At the commencement of 2007, an agreement between UQ Sports and St Leo's College has seen the creation of the "Lifestyle Passport" allowing St Leo's residents access to:

  1. UQ Aquatic Centre
  2. Beach Volleyball and Indoor Volleyball Courts
  3. UQ Oval number 2
  4. Provision of a Fitness Consultant within the College gym.
  5. Squash Courts
