Chief Executive Officer/Head of College
St Leo’s College is a Catholic residential college located within the University of Queensland. Established in 1917 by the Catholic Archbishop at the time, St Leo’s has supported the tertiary education and personal development of thousands of young men.

THE ROLE
As the Chief Executive Officer/Head of College for St Leo’s, you will report directly to the College Council and work closely with St Leo’s management team.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the College;
- Working with the College Council to develop and implement the strategic plan;
- Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with College residents and a range of external stakeholders, including university colleagues and the Archdiocese;
- Lead the management team;
- Ensure the continued financial viability and success of the College;
- Work collaboratively with the College Council and the Chair.

Importantly, you will be experienced in the education and development of young men, and possess a commitment to supporting and mentoring our residents through their social and academic endeavours.
As our Chief Executive Officer, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, education or a related field
- Proven executive leadership experience, ideally within the field of education
- Highly developed leadership and management skills
- Experienced in building and leading effective teams
- Demonstrated capacity to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Sound financial acumen and ability to identify, analyse and recommend opportunities
- Sound working knowledge of relevant legislative and statutory provisions and frameworks
- An understanding of, or openness to, the teachings and values of the Catholic Church.
