Latest News - 19th September

The men who occupy  the halls of St Leo’s College go on and do extraordinary things. There are Leonians on the Supreme Court bench, Leonians who are medical specialists and researchers looking for answers to some of science’s most puzzling questions.

We have Leonians who have established nationally renowned not for profit charities, doing real work with people in need.  The architect of the Australian superannuation scheme lived at St Leo’s in the 1970s as an Economics undergraduate before concluding his PhD at Harvard in Boston USA. And then there are our politicians; both state and federal. In the 46th parliament of Australia, there are three Leonians occupying seats dedicated to Queensland.

On 17 September, Tyson Flamsteed, Paterson Boyd and Steve Foley caught up with the Honourable Bob Katter MP, Member for Kennedy, the Honourable Ted O’Brien MP, Member for Fairfax and Senator Gerard Rennick out the front of Parliament House. The Leo’s balance of power.
